Milner-Fenwick has acquired two outstanding programs produced by State of the Art, Men Managing Heart Disease and Women Managing Heart Disease. These programs provide ethnically diverse profiles of people living with heart disease and examining the important lifestyle changes they are making. The goal of both programs is to motivate people at high risk to make meaningful lifestyle changes to reduce their risk of CVD. Also available as free downloads are companion booklets (PDF format) that include a wealth of information, outside resources, and an extensive glossary of terms. Call 800-432-8433 for details or to preview.
Pulmonary
A recent review in Respiratory Care magazine took a look at the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Series produced by Milner-Fenwick in cooperation with the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pumonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). “They have produced an excellent series of videos… The many different facets of pulmonary disease are often overwhelming to the patient and these short well-done videos present many aspects of pulmonary illness and techniques of coping… The videos would be an asset for pulmonary rehabilitation programs.”
The series includes five brief programs for in-facility use and an hour long home video, Living with Your Pulmonary Illness. According to Respiratory Care, “The patients shown are real and very credible – not actor types… It is so much easier for the viewer to identify with people who have similar problems… the tapes are extremely informative and very clear and concise… The video designed for home use will be a treasured resource for patients.”
